5-13-26    THOUGHTS

Our success  or failure in this life is found in the words we read below.  Eternity hangs in the balance.  We build on the cornerstone, or we stumble on it!  We must not try to ignore it!  We are special as we build on it! Verse 9 is so powerful and descriptive.  We must proclaim the excellencies of our God.  How marvelously RIGHT IT IS!  

1Pet 2:6-9   ESV    For it stands in Scripture: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."  7  So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,"  8  and "A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense." They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.  9  But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the  excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Our Prayer:
We praise and honor and lift You up, our God.  Your description of  Your  possessed people is wonderfully honoring.  Help us to behave and think in keeping with this description.  May we lovingly  proclaim Your glorious excellencies to our world.  In the name of our Lord,   Amen.
